Average house prices have hit half a million dollars in southwest Edmonton and almost $400,000 across the Capital region.- P6 V, Y, ? p
1 f: E2 A5 H# Z8 ^% K“It is clear that housing prices have not yet peaked,” Carolyn Pratt, president of th Edmonton Real Estate Board said Wednesday, releasing the March sales figures from the Mutiple Listing Service.

8 N# }: L6 W! p4 R- s% o' {% KIn only the first three months of this year, average home prices have climbed 12.4 per cent, so Pratt has abandoned her earlier forecast of a 15 per cent increase for the full year.

Average prices for single-family homes varied from $501,838 in Southwest Edmonton, and $484,168 in St. Albert, to $320,600 in Morinville, $312,730 in northeast Edmonton and $281,480 in central Edmonton. |
