Sun Life to retire Clarica name

Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.
. Y# [% |! l8 T; g, HThere are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.$ L$ |; s5 x5 m$ p @% l
; D' a3 q" T8 UThe company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.
