TORONTO -- Sun Life Financial Inc. said Monday it is retiring the Clarica brand as part of a revised marketing strategy.
1 G# @, l1 _4 BClarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.+ W# V9 ~) ]+ K
There are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.: {) p. L; W2 Z f2 H( B. {/ a9 d) t
