Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include: I% E! {4 E7 n' N- B
: n: R) O! ^7 F( {) b8 D2 G- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 4 V5 O0 K J/ N; ?4 M+ V
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. . Y6 a9 s& \; y8 d' T1 E
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 7 ]8 h* p* R1 Q# h, o! u+ M u$ o
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
5 q! ]; r5 k' S- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
6 Y6 P6 Z8 I) t1 W! Q- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
: A0 W8 A) t" L# Z3 n! e) X1 c- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements
) W3 Q$ {/ t# l8 j# h. W! }7 C6 b) L2 i9 z7 r* [7 W
- Previous supervisory experience
$ o* j* S" w* |0 a- Strong leadership skills
* h" F# C. G' F/ X) {/ p) L) \4 t9 h- A minimum of grade 12 diploma ) w, U; W8 a" P9 n8 Y
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills # V' |6 r8 Z3 p% K# r. J" f
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
; {4 E8 n& [7 x b" u7 N0 g- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
