As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
! D' ~; E+ W, N* J
% G: P; N+ C4 E! |- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. ' U% |% S$ \- ~ I
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. 4 i8 i$ y7 \# c S5 R1 j
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
3 w( T* Z# Z6 T$ T9 ^- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
1 `# w5 t+ j: c- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
% F& Q4 P9 _! N0 k5 U2 U- |2 r- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

Experience and Education Requirements

- Previous supervisory experience ( T. J# `6 H+ Q7 |6 ?8 b1 o
- Strong leadership skills z3 R \% y0 o$ }5 K
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
g7 q; _0 v0 b5 F; p+ G- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
* Z, z n% o& H. l/ I' u- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 6 \; R+ r5 M9 w! ^ Q
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
