To become a probationary driver you must:6 I0 q' E L! {8 X* j9 Y& u, y

Be 16 years of age or older.
7 e) @, j0 N- i9 h5 n* IPass the standard Alberta Class 5 road test.

Probationary Conditions：

1。ust spend a minimum of two years as a probationary driver. - z+ E( j: \, ` J9 @9 o
2。No more passengers than seat belts.
3 n% [- \# F' K5 B% }3。Fewer demerit points (8) are allowed than for fully licensed drivers (15).
$ a6 E' M) S, M4。Have a zero alcohol level.
+ _4 n+ X$ u6 m$ I! `: ~- N& k5。No upgrading to a commercial licence (Classes 1, 2, 3, or 4).
