I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.. M' i4 v$ X, R

To kick it off, here are my two cents. 2 ^$ K4 U- }$ X9 r3 ~+ K
- H( v( ~) Q7 y4 t; [4 a" MWe need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:
1 Y) C0 R. j' ^& J% U0 R$ z& j' `) j/ j4 N6 W7 L3 n# @
Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet. 8 X* _6 L, y% }/ b% }
No on site child care available. 5 e3 n1 h0 q8 R$ e5 n

IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.- j1 G) P4 y4 t2 x1 l5 D, _. I
8 y ?% Z/ F9 B1 s+ xOption 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
3 p- C5 n4 U- eHonestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. 0 @; J# E) b/ X; M
