EDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.1 q, R' g7 N% n8 e/ g- J/ O

The item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre. l5 `0 Y- v% t! F! r% g8 ?5 H' d
; R9 a* u& F+ g6 Z* OPolice evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.6 E2 i$ a2 r$ e4 Q! ]
