A heating and ventilation permit is required under the Safety Codes Permit Bylaw when installing or altering heating and ventilation equipment such as:

& t& t0 L4 U& G, k( t2 o9 q1 s2 ^HVAC systems,
make-up air units,
boilers,
( R; |1 j4 t$ o, }+ Y: zhydronic (hot water) systems,
kitchen exhaust,
heat recovery ventilators,
ventilation systems.


Renovations/Replacements/Alterations to Existing Systems
Heating and ventilation permit is $100/address or unit plus the Safety Code fee of $4.50/address or unit
