Job Description:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

( P# P( W  `' I9 m" Y% q2 R• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

: e' g( D+ E+ t" A9 D3 p" N5 S• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

- C- W7 q# ?. K• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

2 X& e% \" i( n2 `• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

: i( S  f" ~, j5 H2 X  d• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

) ~( _- o+ d* A# Z6 t+ U, {) j( G0 e• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

' ?6 c/ Q7 ~+ g: _- Q• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  ^/ y9 J. {+ U3 A9 p0 z; ~$ c• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
