(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By

information that will make your transition to the University community

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit 4 t- H0 \/ S( T
www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
6 \$ P( |+ \1 r& x$ oto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds ! K/ G: Y/ u" o4 m4 J1 a1 T4 s
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
% [+ L& j3 c6 V' Klook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
S5 M8 K( ^' m, _" `6 aof directional information.
; [ ^& w% Z& c$ o, m- `5 p6 s( \2 I' ^( B5 e$ Q; C- S2 w2 F
Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
9 P, u, g* y+ S; b; V, tactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend 3 q% |2 B: N0 b
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday 9 m) J/ A8 c, P
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in & e# x& Q$ X/ x3 X$ c5 w
Hawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
+ [9 |/ ]9 m2 v8 C0 d- ZSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 4 f$ f' \( N$ z6 N$ ]
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you ; H6 ^0 W; l$ |- M- F$ X' j
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 2 L& J* M& B/ Q! n# z* |
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
6 {5 Z+ O7 w1 _/ w% D" V- @- L" jONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 2 O& X G! m+ `% q6 ?2 P
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 9 ]( K1 A( |) ~1 C! R
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
" |9 H& J0 m9 O. _6 O6 N: dComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
8 _: p8 R# g; A4 n2 f4 S, LInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and C' t0 A% g H$ q u& s$ r! ?
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 6 c5 a3 {5 I+ ^0 @/ F, p. S6 r
two days of Orientation).
