Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

! J1 f0 w7 H. V& o(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
* l+ u: B7 _' c) }; @; W/ sattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of - z* L$ F( b, I9 i- D* y
information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit : q, q8 a' R4 j, r9 f2 B1 o/ c

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds 1 r. A7 b& w N5 M& \1 a
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
3 H# Y" q* ?& H( T5 zlook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
& \4 t7 {, [3 E$ h hof directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening : k% p7 C8 X2 s, L( L" C' S: n& ^
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend & m7 h" |1 O; s& C8 s
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday ; [+ w1 {& j$ w
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
& H5 R5 B+ r/ B1 ^* q1 x9 EHawrelak Park.6 G7 D% `2 D1 [7 V+ b
; D0 @7 I; Q5 W4 DYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
3 L5 j& o- I: I! vSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
* [' W+ W5 i2 Oand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
0 J% e% ?( d4 m: Gto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
3 ~! I2 V2 @$ A- x; U. b% }' Nyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
' k/ ~8 u" F) l8 I+ W# AONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
% H2 h2 |% z5 ? c# Fyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
9 ^, _) |& ^- R% O& ]0 L3 Nof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
& T. Z3 O. n# X/ n' L4 OComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
/ w6 j D4 D4 ]4 o4 p5 MInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and 4 T A, P7 ~0 R2 n
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the - m; O5 {: ^5 f0 E# ?% M2 {0 f
two days of Orientation).
