/ c T) k9 S4 o6 t' B3 }: ~1 zReporting to the Team Lead for Drilling and completions, the Senior Drilling Engineer will perform all aspects of well design including; Casing and Tubing Design, Mud Systems, Fluid Hydraulics, Primary and Remedial Cementing, Specialized Technical Software for tubular design and effect improvements in drilling efficacy. i' q* B |/ P+ Y, N

Must be proficient with technical software, specifically related to drilling engineering e.g. stresscheck
" l$ n8 Y4 J& _For each well, confirm casing/tubing stress analysis, mud/hydraulics programs, cementing program, collision avoidance criteria; S8 m7 t& H3 t$ X; ~1 i8 l: G
Prepare Drilling Program, Basis of Design, ADW and other special operations programs as required in the course of the operation 5 _1 g! V: y" G9 Q6 h& D0 y/ i
Steward to the recently implemented Well Delivery Model for Suncor including multi discipline peer reviews and post well reviews
& _, H0 a0 \; z0 H fPrepare End of Well Report which details cost analysis, operation analysis and provides recommendations for continuous improvement
3 Q6 m3 i! n% j$ s+ _5 oPrepare technical specifications to be used in tenders for materials, services and equipment used in the drilling operations / |; B6 Z# c$ r5 N' _. a9 t
Stays abreast of current technology and Best Practices within and industry and recommend the application of new technology 6 h% n! p E6 q2 T* k+ @; \) Y* w
Prepare management of change for drilling programs as needed
" _0 I' ^# W- q% w( g( V8 zCommunicate regularly with the cross discipline members of the NAO Team on progression, lessons learned cost and efficiency improvements as well as investigation on operational setbacks( C6 G8 @$ ^3 Z) K1 t5 I% o$ G. s
Mentor junior staff
( f5 P1 a% a% D( z: }Participate in cross company technical forums on drilling and completion technology

The preferred candidate will be a registered Professional Engineer with APEGA
5 a+ ~! \$ G' A% \) y- MMust be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel as well as casing design software such as Stresscheck or equivalent4 F" `: t3 T% V D( r4 P
Service company or oil company drilling or completions operations experience preferred6 C" i) T* w" y: g: F* N6 k+ K1 p
Field supervisor experience will be an asset0 M H: {$ s' a0 j
