Job Responsibilities
" I8 }/ Q  W- N•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.1 P/ u. F, c0 k
•        Oversee hotel security requirements. - \3 P9 f/ e5 a  P; k" ~1 M/ q% y
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
$ f# P5 Z5 Y" p•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
# ?$ C6 h2 |$ K6 c% M& @•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.
7 n. ?0 C5 q* y( ]9 t•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.& [' y6 K2 F/ y& [" f, E8 q
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.7 r" X  _& _0 z* y! R1 h/ [' h. W
•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.& n. \, ]. C: A' b% `- r6 k
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff. ! t; g$ f9 H, j5 g  k) l
•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.
% E5 ]- t2 _/ H8 I7 ]2 }! ]•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
  Q7 f+ A2 G' l! H3 U•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service.
; S; ]- H4 e5 w6 T•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.
+ [2 ]# x7 m  Q. o1 @5 w3 [$ a•        Attend Cluster meetings.
5 u8 @' Q& G; A% U/ K; t•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.3 P0 K) g6 c( A$ L6 E7 ]7 w6 |
•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
- K' \1 c# y4 i# P3 Z% ?•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies* q$ \. L* J3 Q; T2 C) F
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center
3 G: a. F! z0 j8 [$ V& q•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float ' ~2 X5 k$ @- Z9 j
•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager/ G& C- z- \8 f0 w
) R/ `; t- Y1 P& r) }6 p
Requirements:
0 L- j: o0 `5 a5 C  j•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property1 P# l4 X- w# i. Q7 j  H
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;2 q/ ^% C' J- |, K& f+ ~
• Ability to lead and develop;5 U- L. D$ v  @) ]/ t& P* l* j+ U
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;3 Z6 `9 \; w+ U, j/ l, T% W
• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;; |* ^3 d9 T6 `! a8 g" X6 M9 e; J
• Ability to work within deadlines;4 @; N7 D1 n' u$ {% \# W$ L
• High level of creativity and innovation;/ N7 n) `. v! N, [9 V. c
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
0 D3 i/ p- z% P• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.5 b5 w7 _# G3 u& l
