Job Description:
- f. @% M5 B4 C% W• Offer support and assistance to the General Manager in the following areas: * A+ W1 { N3 z( p% C8 [
• Develop, prepare, execute and achieve financial goals; : E3 _0 I' K* A: }& S @
• Provide timely and accurate financial statements; 3 Z/ _" x4 O% X% `" u U
• Maintain the system of internal checks designed to prevent or promptly detect unauthorized transactions;8 ? j) M3 n, i2 x- Q! p4 P
• To analyze Hotel’s performance versus budget and investigate variances as required;, G9 q% G* r& A4 N: h
• To monitor operational expenditures in conjunction with approved budgets;
M5 O. s- u9 |; [7 I/ c6 ?• To reconcile all supplier accounts, to post all payables, and to pay vendors in accordance with due dates and cash flow projections;
% D% _( j3 H' K7 u+ r• To monitor city ledger and guest ledger transactions, and to collect all receivables on a timely basis;3 j4 P H9 z! L, K; P# e8 e/ Z
• To set up, track, record, and process all payrolls; to handle related HR and benefit matters as required7 `2 O/ k, E3 F' h
• Maintain all company policies and procedures; ; b$ e8 w3 z+ }" G4 b
• Ensure Internal audit recommendations are implemented on a timely basis;
5 V2 ^9 a- T, F8 k3 E• To ensure all Hotel’s contracts have proper authorization, negotiations for renewal and are properly filed and are easily available for corporate review;4 i. {& t% L* S$ S& @9 k% P
• To ensure that there is an effective system of purchasing, receiving, and control of supplies in place at all times with proper requisition procedures;
: m8 I+ D+ ~0 h$ M& ~+ S* u$ ?• To ensure that usual and exceptional purchases are approved consistent with the budgeting and forecasting system;
/ k) y6 h# r4 _' S# j• To ensure all accounting procedures comply with corporate accounting systems;) }+ ]5 i0 D# C2 p( f
• To provide month-end packages to the Corporate Office and assist in the preparation of financial statements;, R3 W# c- P4 a$ t, v5 K) W0 W
• Supervise and assist the Accounting support Team (Night Audit)

• Duties associated with Controller Position including but not limited to the above listings.

) X, |5 I- x* K* L! L+ _• Strong accounting knowledge to handle a complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment.

• Supervisory experience within the hotel industry; - P5 R2 @& u" l( n. v; P9 J
• Knowledge of development and execution of business plans and budgets; ( ^1 q |! A; p- ]* k5 v
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills;
: D, t: ?' M9 H) u H( | [• Proficient / familiarity with computerized systems such as : hotel PMS, Oracle and ADP payroll systems.

• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments.
