Position Title: Outreach Worker

Job Description
-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
2 ]. T0 L4 n7 D1 z-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
) C5 b' R' o. p% w$ T9 U-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
" v* J, `0 j% F4 A-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- F" [! j5 [& m' d- c4 d$ K-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
% i. G: }4 Z. Q" L2 \-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
4 w8 ^. a) @& `- Q6 B-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-other duties as assigned

Qualifications
) @# o* |9 F! E+ I) C-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
' o9 P" W1 P6 C& k* \9 \-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
6 ?) |) \& }  u-fluent in English and Chinese
-good interpersonal and people skills
; p; u6 x) `9 J, \+ g-valid driver’s license
