Reports to: Fabrication Shop Supervisor

Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

+ i- V2 Z, p6 O  m" TResponsibilities and Tasks
/ j: S1 D/ V% K4 p1 o
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
+ `* a2 Q: I) }' R5 p-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
/ [0 [$ U0 e, w6 z) g-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
: _. g: ~" L9 J# g; ]$ _8 O-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
3 K3 M7 E, R( v( O-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
9 \; l* L9 \# F$ `) H6 `' [-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset

% Y, t2 i" p' i* M-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
