Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
4 w5 ~; o9 E$ ]/ g! [* T2 W" M& G! U" a5 }, G) \ q
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment / c) e y3 N n( Q- r9 {
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
* m# R* _: {& K w) {- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
8 L* R' w: b- V7 g& D5 R% l9 H- Select type and size of pipe required
7 o: X/ k5 Z, ]. M/ [/ e! k- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools; G, n9 V: v' X
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system/ K7 S) u7 B; i! e! E; q
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
C2 v5 p( A# S+ i# Q/ p6 m4 ?- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
( T# l& ?' ~0 l3 ?" g- ?5 ^- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system8 K6 H. |! B* l# h, o8 x) ~
- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system7 Z% y8 G! K1 D
- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

/ m0 q" ^ p3 }3 s1 A- Completion of secondary school
: f& n; j- j" x$ c A- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation : L, O0 x# K6 x A) T
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals: \: B: i- N( Q9 i4 t& m7 f
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence8 d0 Z1 T o5 ~" m. }5 a0 h
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
- W0 i' P) B" E5 c% \- Safety tickets are considered an asset
7 h. ]8 U) ~( k) x- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
