Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
, S h2 H& q1 c- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements) K* _. \6 ~$ z0 b& V! m6 E, A P% m
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
$ e- A5 t" }0 ~; E- Select type and size of pipe required5 d- y! e+ N/ x8 c/ K
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools: s M k" O3 _
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
* s2 f: n5 Z/ U- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems; k; h. e/ y! B; U! {
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
2 s: E4 {) \" h+ t- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
2 u/ x/ I. q* j( K& X2 d# _5 k- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications7 b; p o% g2 s' Q/ T6 V& o( B& Q
4 p0 j' }4 \; A' @: r% g0 O- Completion of secondary school. U, j/ z; t% b* E' x
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
; e0 q% m% u5 ?2 J/ t. x( L4 w- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
) P/ w& ~) q2 c; [: }- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence* z2 d- G6 Z5 B0 {( H
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset! V" w, T+ X& O& i' u$ M. w7 Q
- Safety tickets are considered an asset% H: X: G z' _, A; |, G+ Q0 D
- Valid drivers’ license is an asset8 M/ F2 [8 N. F" D: A' v
- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
