Compensation:  Journeyman 1 Automotive Mechanic (or 4th year Apprentices)

Hours of Work:  This position works 44 hours per week.
Days of work are Monday through Friday, Saturday rotation.
Group benefits package starts after 3 months.

Full-time journeyman to maintain and repair an assortment of vehicles with emphasis placed on preventative maintenance.

" G  A! q8 g" ?Responsibilities include:

* i7 Y4 Y1 |4 A% q. v0 x! Y9 {7 N5 yDiagnose problems and perform all types of repairs to a wide variety of speciality vehicles
) {& Q; C- X( X$ M) L! c" |Requisition parts and materials, as required.
4 W* l3 _9 s# G4 n( R9 d9 OCreate and complete work orders, gather fleet information and input data into the computerized management system.
Provide specialized training and guidance to apprentice(s).
Access technical information using Snap-on Shop Key on-line automotive support program and communicate using e-mail.
Other assigned duties.

( R8 Z7 R) d# u& a! A" |* pApplicants must possess a valid Journeyman Automotive Mechanic certificate or equivalent recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
0 R1 S9 p3 x' m' b% }' aApplicants also must have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (or provincial equivalent).
Preference will be given to those who have current experience diagnosing and repairing North American and/or foreign vehicles.

Only education obtained from an accredited institution will be recognized as meeting the minimum qualifications.
An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
A Driving Abstract with no more than six demerit points (current within three months) must be provided if contacted for an interview.
