Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! ?4 J. k' g; M8 I1 E

Key Responsibilities:
9 w) e& G9 p G• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# T) H& W1 {* i• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST' p2 h: w. M& S( O; B
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 r; T; F% w f2 _( m9 z' Q• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ e* R3 o' ?* D+ h• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents" y1 z9 {. [3 E7 A) K3 d8 I, Y0 p
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker/ B5 ~. J9 u* Q2 Q) \& `
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events, |* W$ f+ r1 f% J2 Y9 I
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
) D2 j3 r" j# g/ A9 j, s1 s• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; B! p h Q9 @' J4 ~6 Y• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

2 _3 t# V" w6 g• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ W# t* `. l* q2 p( @! w5 G( c& {• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset. |& a; I, M/ F+ C. J# E
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
- |/ c# z# Y: S& e+ }$ z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients; L- a8 ~9 {, g3 ?
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ C$ |% |$ d5 e- y7 q+ C
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience # t4 x O: [$ _: v2 C
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision8 o. x9 Z# V$ h2 D6 E
