Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. / V1 E& f5 G4 T" R! M; K

Key Responsibilities:+ O6 a0 g2 m6 e' K/ T5 F$ D2 f) h
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- j u/ m1 d- R! V3 M/ a \4 a4 v6 y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; a, z) u, l3 m5 c0 `3 N7 M& i
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& {/ l- C1 B0 }$ j( \2 u8 p, X• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter' q& `' x6 `$ j) P; R7 Z) z
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
[( U- K( Z5 ~2 k1 z3 V• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker! i' s2 @4 B u/ E
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events" v# ~: d& r& I* D A1 h
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

4 \( b1 I, J- I7 qKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
; h- b( Y! c" A/ z- d' i, Y" z• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person6 W6 ~2 ~ `+ W$ K- U- B
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
1 e V8 j! Q4 U- i& h- \( F• Good English writing and oral communication skills
: s c3 D# L5 z( F3 c' B( n4 C• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" r! ~* ?3 K8 R• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook! i% j* E( P+ x8 j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ) ^8 E$ h* p2 r
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds# P" r6 T1 C. k9 e7 }- K
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment( R% R/ S8 z* V+ y5 J3 W
• Knowledge of immigrant services3 G/ j2 W3 o3 H5 e6 U* [4 Y

" s1 I0 {( f/ X# E; u$ m u• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
/ i- L0 C7 z) u• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment; W% ^0 @" K( i$ H1 E! w
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
/ T ^# }0 d* x+ I1 h; Y5 B& u• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
