Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

0 X) V; h, X1 R: u7 n• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person% N0 I# p8 q) X7 ^4 L$ x
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST% `! V. k0 y9 c% z% P
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
5 H* W! ^1 x* a0 o0 F• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter8 }& e' r& q- h* Y) E
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 R9 f" ^! b' F• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& A% N4 r2 j- P
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events* ~5 c1 A( h/ x% B% J( `2 G
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events' F7 L5 K, r8 i9 P. L' R; [- v6 k7 w
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean( T* e: K0 t- H, p
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:6 o5 e) i: I ~# A8 ?8 {2 R' M
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 S- V3 N) k; }5 T• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset. l! j! d. M# w! \* ]$ T
• Good English writing and oral communication skills* [& q# l# f' a8 j3 w
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients U q+ q4 s6 J9 y, S# ]
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds( [# c* E# Y/ z

Qualifications:
$ n2 ^# j1 X7 }+ ? E* T1 y& [0 n• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ; M* [+ U. u- ]- j. t3 q
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
# c2 `# ]& J( ]& A0 ]• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism6 p! G3 A0 X$ F/ O, _$ J
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
