Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
. V: H6 D: I( o• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
! @2 {4 r5 ^% n( h5 x% C" @• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 |( x r$ g# W# D3 z0 h$ C• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately2 C" ^ p: |, m& s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter9 S. N+ n/ Z5 W% U @
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents3 A o: t' M' R9 k
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker' z# m( e) \& \ }
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events' l4 u2 U3 x# G- a! y U) h
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events- F) s9 H9 T6 w8 j2 u9 l
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
# p+ a- n& f! Q) i3 L* V• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters" D) a( ]+ f+ Z5 a I$ N0 o7 G. c
• Maintain front counter service files4 ~+ a% w+ X) v1 ]

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:1 K$ B: C0 i- P& ?. w) X& [
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
) E7 X4 x# Y6 [# O j1 E: a0 M- e3 @• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset8 i6 Z/ Y/ ^ d& B
• Good English writing and oral communication skills) l6 n/ P0 q( _0 ` ?
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
# m* L. Y- `7 w* V1 P4 ^* k% n• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook U2 f5 R; r0 m* B1 z
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
! j) z2 s& [8 P9 W! O• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds% U. x# p! B8 q
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

2 x: Y0 c0 V: e; U, S& U• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! c7 J. Z* @- {: G% Z" J1 l( k2 u% @. A• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment$ L/ x: {$ [: ]$ `( b) C
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism3 Y4 j+ `( h6 E8 {
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
