另外Basement没有Sumb Pump的可以查一下City是否有Incentive for install Backflow Valve的，我听说过有的城市有。

这次几场雨，城市收到200左右报告的Basement flooding。所以最好给City打个电话反映一下，因为：

Flood prevention program that is already paid for by your taxes where a city employee will actually come out to your home and do an assessment and report on how to flood proof your home so it doesn't flood again。

如果是积水渗入进来的话，最好还是自己重新做一下Grading。Backfill如果主要是沙子，坡度每年都要查看一下；如果是Clay，最好3-5年核查一下。我的房子在坡上，有Sump Pump，安然无恙，还是在重新做Grading，毕竟渗进的水越少对房子越好。
