- provide volunteers to update membership database# A( C( |9 s* k% [
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers7 t k1 P, e7 I& h
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties2 Y* p% ]* s' W8 O' i
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties$ b( ?# T, ~1 T, P% B
- provide volunteers for various programs 2 t$ J- w. ]( U% o9 r8 B
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
) {. Y' _ d1 ^- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation9 d9 _, q5 `4 i$ a
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
$ O0 ^, l% n7 I$ P5 `- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events / p K. L9 x# P9 o8 Q& n
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual / i, d: N5 g% y8 j4 G0 K
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 7 _' j- r# D0 L% [, d
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
9 [! c( ^) V, w- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
9 C0 j, K, u! B, \/ K- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 H$ S; N1 g& I" Q- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services p6 V* Z; S: J, L1 t0 J
- leadership skills
