- submit information for community news

- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers/ b! Y; @. v+ X- v
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
+ k% q9 @& q& ?) n- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
! t2 b9 t2 D6 @1 Y* U' {' }- provide volunteers for various programs
; [* E v2 x' b1 s+ w/ A8 B- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual' u' w1 N. t% r5 F9 A/ |( M/ l
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation( L% ?4 G" v5 @0 m6 r
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
. ?) F$ _9 Y2 R, ?- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services' I1 l% I9 r& }- O
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
8 { S N7 J' P5 R4 ]- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed0 A" `% c% X' T( X+ x3 Y/ Y
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
" J0 U" l+ k3 _- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)5 y c1 B; f D: K5 j) F
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
% H H+ t1 j. o- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
3 k2 T1 y+ ~! B( u( O$ `- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers ! a; M$ f$ h! q1 ]! J
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
+ Y" U- Q9 S) m( S- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

Qualifications; F9 ~9 D+ A) E2 b; ]" x+ t1 {
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education8 j8 l/ x" I) d! v
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
; {( A# v) L7 n0 Y: o- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
" k; M' i: o9 r$ Q* q- leadership skills
2 G& g4 e5 u0 |" t- management and supervision skills
