- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties; E3 F) A8 L) W4 \! A7 d. d8 Y9 E
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties" Q0 N/ [# K5 \4 X- t
- provide volunteers for various programs % H, r9 L2 d0 `; C6 x+ w W- u
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
, T. z, O N5 _- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation1 A9 ^ b, `; U* S
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities |% o/ u& _( K$ n0 M& o# I
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services; o5 l e/ O# ?; |+ p3 h( N
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
* q( p6 `! D& D. v- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
$ L- Q% `& h( n2 y7 m- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
6 j: k9 y3 }' g) R( y* a6 x2 S, y- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
- x/ D& z# b# f. n0 U- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events 9 y( _- @- Z+ r1 D0 \& a; y7 e$ z) a- r
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
9 h7 N3 b3 L8 \" z* f+ s0 l+ z- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 4 W# m2 ^* V6 @+ k* [/ R
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 1 q0 K% m3 S3 n% X3 ` Z5 P2 I) S# L
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

$ Z5 [6 q2 ^8 z/ B5 ^# M- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre- R e( [" R+ v" V! ~4 W

2 p+ D8 o0 Q2 ~, I# l& h5 O- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
3 B/ t% f( C0 i! y3 n8 r& P- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
" m5 u! t3 T$ Q! T! n2 }: u- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
7 o) w: v) D" B: c- leadership skills* S, m* U3 d2 f" Y
- management and supervision skills$ Z& \* p4 I8 e( T
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
