- provide volunteers to update membership database: k$ p, C% M+ ?
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers8 W& Y+ v8 W' P. K1 c, g8 z
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties1 T9 B# }. n5 W
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties/ w# x1 H' N6 o: s
- provide volunteers for various programs 7 {& C3 j3 J: X% V+ d q/ p( m
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual8 ^' Y) m0 U) i1 @: Z
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation+ ?% a- i. K9 }$ R5 d
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
0 O5 c+ ?1 A& Y( i9 i! Y9 g- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services# N! y* u, W0 n b# n
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports* W/ A+ v2 d4 y# u2 H7 g
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
' U# h; A/ M; d9 Q- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
; j A& k: n4 m8 c l* }- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
$ O5 p4 x3 @/ m) x- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 1 }; `1 n$ B5 I( Y: X4 Y
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers * Q; E9 r; Z8 ^, M$ @; V% M6 _% J: `
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 2 N& F/ [+ F7 s# w. c" H/ P( {/ y
- evaluations

Qualifications
, E2 s( O' ?# M1 s2 n) n5 u/ R- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education" R1 \( Y1 `1 U( h
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! q; W( r6 V5 S1 p% Z- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services+ q$ M! @8 s+ O! o6 ~3 j
- leadership skills
2 ^+ ], n$ ]/ }) X2 S- management and supervision skills
