- provide volunteers to update membership database# [$ s( u( S: L* h
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
0 I" w% H8 I I9 Y: D- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties* S+ h$ w$ I/ R6 n8 z% y
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties b$ I7 H* m' k! U
- provide volunteers for various programs
3 e9 N, l4 J. Q' I- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
# k; B5 C$ k( G- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
9 \; E6 w: v' }) P, G: y- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities. K7 \- {6 O; s) I, ?+ ~
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

% ^" U' R) ?$ P! c- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
! x4 L- l# S* y R" E- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
z: V* f2 T$ L) [; m2 Z4 C- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers . S& Q8 V4 u% h
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 3 |. v! O: A* M- v8 c0 w3 Y9 B
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ) k* q# k% m+ [! q: k8 N
- evaluations
& r! D" A* @3 r- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications% l" n; z8 u# z* x
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education* y1 t6 e \+ [( X) f
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
- Y+ c0 g2 j7 A3 n d- A- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services) B8 s( f# T# m# k, @) w+ U
- leadership skills7 V* Z6 E7 K) q0 a/ ~
- management and supervision skills
