Position Summary:
4 o* H& S3 I% b$ XWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 0 m. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 Z; k4 Z/ W2 f' [2 g
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
% Y9 y' h3 y, {• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
% V0 \# N. i5 t& O/ k( H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 f2 M5 `! f7 K% p1 F
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
$ c3 L) i" M* N" |+ s8 h& l' l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker( r/ F [; e0 b" j% A8 X5 |
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
1 L+ f/ w& F6 d( k• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% Q* L2 U5 m' h; T" q
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
1 @5 @ f4 Q' [• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:5 E% ?# A: p2 ~) b0 ]
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! |6 m3 E, [5 W e$ Y2 O• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
% T& L" f; {0 C4 H; k• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ ?+ y" c1 o1 H7 z* N7 j• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. v* N) S5 u- Y• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
' j* C. A @6 @$ u# z• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately . @' r. J8 t7 Z
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
/ G, X9 Q6 P% \) k• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience % D( L: `# P. S6 ?# a
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
/ ?% J# O) p$ ?4 \& A! a2 v& Y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
