Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

; S( J4 n2 } b# E' }Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:' H/ O2 S$ t4 f) p7 @4 Y; ?# ]
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person, J+ M ^/ Q) d2 U( \& s
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST, Q: J) }8 J) t) J0 M: r& T V, V1 Q
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ R( D8 a# p3 i
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
! O X# q2 Q" d• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 O! p& y4 V- X$ e• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& z8 O D3 t" x! U) ]9 @& t1 i! o
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
0 e) i) z5 ]3 l/ N• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( k3 k; n. E) ?" {
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* G3 B* ~' m% \$ q" }' b• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:* y4 J* c8 I" l1 W' e1 D
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 e9 _& C% T# V9 Y
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset$ I4 |7 h: m6 x
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
# E) h. h; E2 S/ h; o, z4 J' I• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' N M, `) A: ~/ t9 A$ R% o• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services. e* j- H; i: O; u* U+ B

; d/ v8 ^% a9 o! p( L9 s& P7 G• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience " v' n) d i; n$ D) ?8 k! r
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
- [) D/ u4 }3 T Y+ z" V• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism0 z/ W6 n, o) c5 v/ z( p2 ^! ~
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
