Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary:
^: t0 b' L# g! S, GWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

: C1 J4 A9 U9 T- |• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
' s5 M; ] p8 L1 ?- \- Y• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
, o* o( K8 ~1 I4 a% E/ S- }• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 c1 n) m9 Y0 T• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( Q) t% h: p8 S9 ]) ~% S& D
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. X# p6 ?' e* Y1 [, Y2 O• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:! R( `3 Y3 T# a' \9 @$ t' n2 b
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person. h; e/ A- n2 t0 x1 a, f- t
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
; }8 ?5 x- k* n5 W7 B• Good English writing and oral communication skills
1 q* I6 x. i: G• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( Y# z0 }7 p$ B1 P$ y$ Q3 D
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook0 W( L/ n7 b: y* y
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 7 R8 H( {% |) h& H2 m& N
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
1 ?% b5 M% N* M( a1 @• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision0 v6 J8 l1 g( R( L: [* f
