Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

$ {% a* o3 ~: JWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ) A" j$ z' s! - r9 @$ j" ]9 `• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 m5 A8 C0 R# K+ }3 @ U Z6 `
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* U# ~/ p0 w/ J* V• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately! I& Y5 Q: H. E0 z+ I
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ J1 V% ]7 a" d- G8 A2 N+ z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ ]8 ~3 q$ Q* `6 U1 |• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
9 d& m% u/ V x& `+ k• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events0 }5 u% [( ? F) b7 ~! O7 t" K9 c4 K, Z
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Maintain front counter service files

1 f! j2 W$ B( t, m6 P5 UKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:. F; K% E& B8 F1 E& l1 W
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
, X/ G' F w3 @; q3 f• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset& h- W/ p7 F6 M$ A8 ]3 `
• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ l6 m( z$ I* e& O& |$ v8 ?4 y. M. i
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients2 M0 v* c4 h! z& v& ~3 g# u
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
% M6 z/ G' C, T) F8 q1 t. G, x& W• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
& k& s7 u! w, W2 a0 V5 R9 o& B5 Z- L• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services1 `3 K0 F# `, t3 T7 ]

Qualifications:: R8 n3 L! Z% q9 }' H( n) b5 C
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
; e1 W& w8 N: b( \( c% e• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
# q: Y ^9 s6 j6 y6 z) F• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
; y& N9 D! C5 v9 h• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
