( @# z: V4 k) p: h8 @Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
5 D P- U/ `4 ]• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
" I* Q+ O6 t: N3 ~• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 D7 I5 w: n% s0 Z5 |% S! b4 c
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter( M% F. S+ }3 B; e8 V
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 Z9 v8 q9 o9 n A- q R, p5 k• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker( c9 E) V6 w/ k7 @4 T9 {
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% y2 h! M' b( I* I9 p; U
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events* V, ]6 ?3 s3 U% s+ ^
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
* U' _: E- H! ?• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
3 C, W6 Y& b, i. n7 ]! l. u `) ^• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& v! W, N: L% A2 x4 M+ }• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset. D) y5 [( [5 t5 D1 |" \ @2 ~1 J
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds* D2 P! a0 V- e* J
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment- p" x4 t; s. a% G
• Knowledge of immigrant services* t/ m2 W2 z# W$ J
) D" L+ |7 S* L1 u9 H9 mQualifications:
: b: _/ b+ c1 ?# w, k5 ~6 q• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 }- h$ q8 {' X3 _, s( `! D
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( |; N+ k1 S+ m) p• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
3 X) N+ P! k& m) `9 Z• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
