Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 G! Key Responsibilities:
7 ^3 f! E" p; v' ~1 f+ [• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
% e. }/ h- O, ]' U, B• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 C# B4 f6 e% c* _! l U* I• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' e5 q @" K4 L+ T8 @9 b% [) |• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 A m. y' p9 F8 ]8 z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 ^. V& W1 _. i q• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events5 r- Z$ a! |9 |7 A1 p- K# O% n, K( a
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
& ?& ], B( d4 m, O/ H• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 g& y0 m" L& O0 ~9 ]
• Maintain front counter service files& t+ ~0 w4 S; C# f ^, q
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1 X5 @6 N7 w3 }% Q( C* t3 W• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
% L3 m- h$ N% P- _' H6 e• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
% }3 l- Q, Y" a6 m0 j7 u• Good English writing and oral communication skills" m3 E+ B. i# E
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients. |! E( k' d2 L
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
% C2 |3 L$ a6 x- u4 B. y" ?- t% u• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 6 m; }( j$ ^* r6 g# I- U) ?. q' K
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds' z5 C* c4 }# J$ V4 B9 E3 {& N
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment# T7 A7 N' P0 X. `
• Knowledge of immigrant services- A% k% Z# Q: z. S

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 5 R# F6 w. f' @% D4 W( V
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment- v: U2 m- T3 c |, ~
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. h. b3 q3 ], m6 l' l5 y5 g
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision7 T+ R6 p7 r6 c1 z
