Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

' Q2 W" o, x) Y% m) e" J• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( B! {; G. c9 M' R! R8 W# g, _9 o• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# S" E8 u* E R& e0 g• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 A3 E/ h ]5 _: e; k& P
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter: F) B( H9 p3 G( [7 T1 Z
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents" X$ F l e/ @+ S) R
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
0 f# A8 T* d; [' m• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
5 s/ R+ R2 S! V6 D/ g s• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

- R$ M+ B. O2 o$ ^& C4 O: }• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person# `4 O! T9 G' K+ A/ R3 ~! Q
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
9 R7 w1 ?! m# G( ~ I• Good English writing and oral communication skills
0 B: a. m( j8 b• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
+ y3 q2 T0 A9 F3 R; e: R7 J• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

8 r9 ~/ g1 c5 o. U' A• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! b7 e/ l- s0 ?, A5 j7 u• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment" N' l; \+ \0 x) }! E g- M
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism- _3 W# i# ?$ Q9 y, L/ }+ R8 T
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision' N" o8 E2 u" C7 s* K9 S
