Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

( }8 Y' c% |( Q3 m-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
$ o& D( Q( A( }: e" B  Rtechnology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
. _4 u% Y% {3 j8 O-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
; c  h+ W3 Z/ U3 V9 L' C0 s9 D-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
3 A: x* F1 |  Q: Y-        Lead short term projects;
. ~; {* t; ~" O# D3 u; _9 x) w3 P-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
- j0 W# x# S- L; ~-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

-        Understanding of project management.

9 k) j1 m4 I/ I3 o! lA. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

7 U" L: a1 y2 t  ?* \7 ~(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

! U( \5 q2 I9 Q; U5 M5 \(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

  h+ D1 l8 E; H% b# O, H* H(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

& x0 R+ g1 |) {% Z- K0 W7 g# ~7 a(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
2 Q5 F2 _% i- B/ r- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
8 |9 v7 Q$ M5 P; Q  j; Q) h/ O& G' L1 [- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
