( C% `7 M# w) W- C+ e-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
" e; B8 k$ }( e% f' Mtechnology;
, O$ S: z# j( E3 ?5 T9 _6 A-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
' A* ?6 V' V2 l  e-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
. G3 S. w$ }- s# N-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
  D" G) s% Y$ O* K0 I# Wdepartment’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
+ z( u# e5 g3 ?$ @& w-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
) y' B1 y' d9 Q7 q-        Excellent written communication skills;
5 G1 Y) U2 t/ M, l-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
+ Q9 X, h8 R2 Meffective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

6 a  v' t; b2 v  @(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

/ q+ I. }' z: n5 T(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

" @" K! v" v0 |(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
& ]; m& r$ g  B# i, y- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
