-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
technology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
, `' c8 e; P7 q$ c; v' `-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
9 a: W. D, ^. g, D5 J-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
0 g( a, ^9 o! Y  Ldepartment’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
' T  ^6 X' X5 c: [, p-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
& }; V+ o! j0 c3 n  |7 M" P6 X-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
-        Excellent written communication skills;
-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
$ L/ m: p  t/ K& e% [* `  g" {" W' z" k" Neffective delivery of service; and
-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
. X+ r4 r5 c: |0 a7 C: Ifor incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

* Q9 W! \. V- I7 a8 x  _& w% z7 m' \9 L7 v(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

& ?2 }* h& D+ f$ r+ {; R& T! o(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.
% @( n; X0 e4 i0 [* @! j6 v
' t" Y' Q; f. z6 I(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

+ o, `! y, s3 v8 o/ s, u/ b* U, R(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

( Q7 P: Z* x! oB. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib

% n2 v# X( T8 |7 N(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
