Job Description:
: A! a9 c$ I/ |/ m9 H• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed8 D Z _: v0 L3 x- h7 Y) ^
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components0 }0 n& D1 d8 S, n V0 \
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers& @& |/ r, P8 f J6 ?! L, b+ b
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams4 ]) M3 d0 o' p# R" \
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place1 X7 l6 \' f& w
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment' j. N, k& ~0 T) i6 {# @- j
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
' Z5 k9 x: C \0 H) [7 _• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
! j& [% g. ]& L% h7 C• Mix paint, blend and match colors/ f: t$ K8 b4 \, C: O, x5 h
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
; j; J* w; `7 r* e6 v x• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
+ i+ Y" j6 l1 k2 W• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation" E% B% w. {+ P/ s2 @8 U
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling

• Completion of secondary school is required
. @! r5 w* U. Y2 x$ e0 M• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program ( ]+ Y* g( N% l+ a6 a: N4 q; G
or
. _$ E# f9 d! F' d5 RA combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
