With the high quality of life that is available to Edmontonians, one might think that it would come at the price of a much higher cost of living, but Edmonton remains one of the lowest of Canada's major cities. In fact, Alberta has the lowest personal tax rate in Canada and is the only province with no provincial sales tax.

Comparing the cost of living of different cities around world, and within USA. Here are some examples:

If you make $100,000 in Edmonton, then you will need
$129,945 in Vancouver
$99,110 in Calgary
$137,187 in Toronto
$125,942 in Montréal
$157,427 in Beijing

Sure, it is, if there is no job and want to find a city to land, I think either Edmonton or Calgary is a good starting place due to low cost fo living.
