Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
  k( Q$ y" `5 G2 `0 q$ S$ B. [Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
: ~! \: B9 o, l5 PMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
2 Z2 e+ A* y0 @8 i. T•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
+ c$ g; D+ f; c' c& I/ \% go        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
9 E/ Z8 V1 g# M, ~o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
" W& |* Y3 |8 H: X' G$ K  Mo        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
' _# O3 P* J. v* Z•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
* S( @# ~$ W! M; p% h/ [9 Po        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
* I  W# \2 j9 N' Q) h) y/ no        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
* ^) `6 Z4 i( [6 T  }•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
- K5 N: T8 U! j; V; ~o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.

•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.

•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
