Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

  F5 k2 _2 f% t* BScope and Purpose of Job
Employee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
+ n3 l. T! j$ H, G6 q. g; D- kMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
o        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.

o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.

- L" e* Q; y+ A0 n1 f•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.

5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
- }; `' p3 J4 z  {; _; f6 IList of Skills/Qualifications       
5 @5 K' _: E/ C( F8 m•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
* z# X) H! I; [2 V# p1 p6 ~- B( z6 g0 n•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
: s4 A* U( x, d6 j•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
