Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker2 z1 e$ @5 m3 d
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

: I+ N6 o1 j H7 QPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

# M3 n1 n. F$ F8 p" r) x& ~• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person

. n' e% c: @' i1 q% k$ f7 U/ t: {• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately# X) W+ P8 V; M5 z* P( ~4 s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter) i. L9 ?1 b+ W9 D, ]
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
3 ~$ D9 W8 U4 f5 m$ l# ~# r1 r• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents9 l. {; j2 r+ k/ n: v
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
7 g8 [: M) a; H! `• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; }3 C# c) N3 S0 \/ r
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events" w" B# f6 j1 p8 t! r
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
+ B7 w% F: P4 _: }9 h+ i" C4 r- J, {• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: {' a6 V2 b U" ]3 N4 G0 p
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 ]* v. B' O) R6 S( B+ A( b* d" D; f• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
0 r9 Q \9 n- t8 ^, y8 J• Good English writing and oral communication skills' H0 A4 ~( X+ T; g2 {
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients" k$ E* y; ]4 [, T7 G- H
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
& [) |* {9 R% o, R1 y& n• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
: a9 g; c+ ~' L+ a" T& W• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

8 X& N% k' U# X& { k6 x. X• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ( P1 H4 S- }/ K
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 E4 l6 i2 T, \# J7 x* }• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" l; C- v- ^$ E% j0 m4 x- q6 F
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ s" S" A& o% O! P* g _( o; p1 S! m
