Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker) A D) v- i# L
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. : m& t! ?3 A! z9 I( g

Key Responsibilities:0 }$ ?% W- c" K
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ v0 ^$ i2 O) c0 I, d• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; z0 P w' B. F0 y! n- X% j" g
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 Y; F6 } W1 ]• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
: E) S8 _9 ~! x• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
8 g- D1 c. ^8 `+ @• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents$ D# l0 [1 r. T+ k9 N. |. P) N. d
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
& ~& o0 W) e4 }• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
/ x( v1 k$ S/ a& J, [• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ F- b+ D$ f S0 Z- s" ?
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean: @- y u* S1 i( ?) W/ V
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 A$ k0 u/ v4 L7 |$ R( o
• Maintain front counter service files2 D$ a) L/ v' J- p. x6 n
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:& b& n2 [8 W8 ^2 o6 L, [# w" d
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
. V1 m' {& d, E$ _• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset: F8 b3 I H" X1 }. s
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ O$ q5 Q& F4 i" g# b) n• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients9 C0 @: X( G. |: h: W
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

5 a- @8 W% D, X8 i6 Y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience + N p8 j; m* s4 q$ k v
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment6 U3 E* A8 a) R/ `* r$ H
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism( x: {" z- g( I2 Q% [* E
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
