Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker: |& n* w+ S, r3 h8 m+ D9 n" d( e

; t' U, G W- e3 r( z) T1 H7 m0 M% XPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
( |( ]' ?" o% [& q) m8 Q• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
" A) E' b3 `% F h( }/ d( G: x• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST F: p' C! Y; d. }3 N
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
8 | m0 x7 x: l5 d) J, p• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- x% _* P: `' @; p3 X* {5 z% N3 e• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings

• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
' `4 r# _' v5 o7 k5 Y• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events" \' C# i1 n ?6 Z- B+ _
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% b- M. P% J" Y6 {7 H9 E
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean$ R- M9 w7 m5 Y' d, X# s# H
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters/ G& Z( {7 g9 g) g
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
& X S, Q* n" \1 }( c: U s( x• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset+ f; }' G/ r( r ~1 q% W6 y! w
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& _: \+ f6 A; E1 v P2 I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients& }; N t# N! Q+ g: y" ~/ q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ i9 B P9 z0 b& D+ y6 V$ l4 g5 L
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 4 G0 `" C" ?/ O1 i
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds0 j7 Y5 v, x/ l( @+ i
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment5 D' i4 f" E1 H/ [

Qualifications:7 U: V4 U( |* O. S; S
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 4 b2 N! m2 u1 {
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
