Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker( O, k3 h" y% k( F ?2 V
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

7 p7 F/ L" }( J6 T* Q4 o( W- xPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:& ^/ V0 v* ?$ u6 T" S
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# g3 f+ h6 o5 o# E• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 l4 V7 P# O# k' T- m& o• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately0 @5 X3 O2 ?9 Y( |" R: U2 }
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
3 Z( @; T) |0 O+ R• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
8 |' u8 F. j4 I* p) f, ]• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ U$ `, t+ X% |, Z4 k8 s6 l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker2 Y9 T: H0 r9 D* k4 _% Q
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
. C" Z" p3 \9 P• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events" p# _+ I) Q# b
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; Q3 d6 J7 A# L( [; j1 ]• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
+ ~+ b1 }* I ]% [+ k• Maintain front counter service files. P4 p% g3 C0 s! U3 F
• Perform general office duties as assigned' k$ V, [9 @( m7 S
• Report to ISP Program Manager

) [/ N1 q, B# \/ H9 l• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person7 P# |8 P# u; m2 p. ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset% \; c- S6 b0 _/ y
• Good English writing and oral communication skills" g, A( n& p& q9 A& F& q4 Q
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( `6 i7 G, ?/ b( G9 ?
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
% w( ^% ]. f5 x& `+ X• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' S# p9 D6 w9 T• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ `- w4 G1 o6 D( ^/ w r3 A5 p
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ W( J5 k+ ]1 m; e3 @
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
