FPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 6 `; {. @5 U% b4 A. _1 O

Key Responsibilities:
4 C( g. `9 @- r* ?' U3 X b• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person+ @, P: a& w2 W- M8 P' f) I" I; q
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! |2 y+ }" f' g3 D9 C W
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
- U: G6 M' c' |: v$ w3 L* T4 ~• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 \; h0 R9 u) E! X9 H/ F
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings$ ^* e9 }) T; l z' j
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents l" z0 @9 P6 O1 a8 X8 a" o
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker9 a/ d1 [" d& J8 _$ E
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" p' D& D" m* ~( n) ~• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( l( |3 i2 y) e* ^+ |! D7 Q9 C
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; M3 t. _% l# z# u# `$ F; m• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person" A4 g- S; q- [2 v" c
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
: H/ ^. `2 }3 v• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) m& b2 _& G, L8 j• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 { Z g: e6 D* o
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 t9 G2 T& y5 V' m
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
