Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. * l% `7 K/ s0 v

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) P8 m0 F! ^) x; x$ C' j! d
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST0 U* ?- p/ m" a: w, S
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
: N3 d& u2 Q9 r2 V8 y. d4 @• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
0 c5 B: Z$ N+ x) E6 ~0 ^• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
" n4 w) u) _ C3 v& a) f• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents5 r" P0 j8 r+ \ I" ]
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
) E' ]. B) C6 i& E' ~" K• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events& M0 l7 v4 H0 w( [
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( P4 |; h9 }' K
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean2 m+ d B6 |7 ^6 o0 d
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. B. l& N8 W; [( a
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; t' O! `& E, B9 M+ p& H/ u
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 L `7 y. p, C- t& M6 F• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset& C9 \& o8 Z! ~$ e
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
- S( y+ A* q! X3 S' N4 W' w• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients+ d7 r3 K; A/ I2 w2 q/ M5 E- l
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook9 X/ x5 ^5 ?* m. N+ M. f- p% b4 O% X: P
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
# W1 {) K1 E+ i }( U• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience : f6 L8 S; e0 h" b% @7 v
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: w+ s* z( t# S1 G9 O
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism1 Z2 `# k, `7 m+ d
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision' Z! i9 j$ {7 u2 r
