0 y K9 y2 Y8 w) k• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired8 S. d3 g/ o3 N0 m" H+ S2 \
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll8 y% `7 b0 [: e1 t6 A
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records $ ~' ]3 h9 v/ ^: t1 J
• Input benefit deductions into payroll
" m0 H; S% ]1 }0 f+ b: s; B3 z, s' T+ }
) K! a5 k" c3 j6 @, ^/ P- k, bReporting duties:
0 E2 Y# a# l! ]4 {' j/ @2 Y2 N; i• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
; ~; b% }4 L( b+ Z5 n• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
; s, J2 Q) F P @# u• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s9 k1 \6 s3 k8 P6 }8 g# u
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority
/ S. c# B5 X& f2 o# ]• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations3 i0 L0 u( Z. D& c
W7 w% v2 L2 w# T& H8 y+ c6 _Compliance:
" H! C* f* f0 q" V• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
. [: c# X" a6 }/ B• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.- z( U6 d! Q! P6 v
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
& v3 Z* ^/ _* b0 d6 T5 w* X5 I• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

Accounts Receivable:
" H4 {4 L2 H' f9 _- f% P• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit5 k9 u% O7 d+ x9 s5 E/ s* a, ~
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
% M4 `" I1 A4 |; A• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
- O- k) x& N& G• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

+ ?7 ?& A r- U• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP# V) i1 n# ~) K( K+ P7 @% u* J: v7 a$ D
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association! Q' T5 P. I1 h- k3 Q; |
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position( f" D) ~4 f6 o2 t5 S
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
& E& h! P3 L2 W( g7 }• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work0 ?1 ?7 O# S7 ~9 f/ Y4 X
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
