YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
5 U" i* |5 R( G• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
: d, ^& b9 R$ q0 N {: k. u' d8 \• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
, J( M3 E$ F- r8 V6 x: [! c! G* Q• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:7 G3 t% k( T8 p! w' ^
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider$ C8 [" I6 J& C' v! g* M) J
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website7 F h& y/ B. y! |. J2 m
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s# n M1 v) H7 X" V
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority0 g9 W) m6 @4 X
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

+ L {& N% }' H• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
% J) P* \9 l" O( w/ i& j. Y8 y• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.- ^1 r! _ e9 ~! ]5 c
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies5 ^9 w- M& z! T9 U+ y( _( U- G
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting: [2 V& t8 A" o, L

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit3 k9 v1 m9 {$ ?. J
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department9 Q1 s' y, p5 [8 o: U, h
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP% X, d! M5 v4 j0 f+ ^3 B3 Y9 M
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association0 R, d% D# R7 k% M2 l8 \
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
2 Z( `( U/ D! o$ r1 ^5 r• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office( M3 u, {! V- R) N& E1 z# H
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
2 A3 n6 _: l, @3 N$ C• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
