' g! E* ?1 a8 b# l* hYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired8 Y! C6 a, V# ]
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
, {6 b) d7 v/ F1 e6 e2 c+ { `: W• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
' x% [+ Z( R3 d+ U. y1 Y• Input benefit deductions into payroll* N8 _3 x7 K8 w! Y/ k
/ a: \' b- c; b- x6 wReporting duties:# P* W+ i$ k6 B" y0 R6 o
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
$ N O! h }8 ]4 `9 b" I; U: I4 O• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
0 r7 l. x8 \5 B9 D5 Y• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
# q2 F+ B: c; ^0 l; G! g: z• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll % q# A9 |) ]- V8 W! H
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.$ D+ ` M) N4 |" m
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
4 L0 \3 D3 m. h9 i$ Y- \• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting, f! j1 v% J0 a1 s. _6 [1 w+ _8 s
9 B9 y$ N w9 N6 iAccounts Receivable:8 g, \. t' W4 S: h/ o
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit; M1 x h) s `7 ]. t
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department3 w3 M" i; J }# a9 ]# r
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments

3 A7 _. q9 i$ x& ^& H• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP8 E# M0 F" Q* [/ { K+ b4 C
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
1 J' e) }0 k+ M- p8 J, h• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position" ~9 w, u' N9 I/ N
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office* g- L. Y0 ?9 d7 [; L3 ~
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
