YOUCAN is an acronym that stands for Youth Organizing to Understand Conflict and

nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to

The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded
$ @' l5 V# N6 v5 F! @- o/ O+ L8 A7 p
project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
- F# I) ], H8 s7 ?! X( q, gemployability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.! Y. d' n s4 i/ \0 c
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
' m7 v' K3 o" \the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
S/ ^7 W. e) o# Aparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
0 x6 O5 l* v; L8 I. Qpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
. J( x% ^+ ^# H% gAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
. f, U; V8 X' @5 l7 ]) aand leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
g7 f! Y: V) K6 Y' }) h8 Gfollow-up once the program is completed.5 L( q* b1 x; j

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the D4 o1 H4 T5 N
