1 {. C# t7 L% V) ]1 a! pSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.
E- |/ {+ V9 }% SSEDI is staffed to:
/ U2 |5 M- H7 ?/ i4 _! v9 Z2 R• conduct socio-economic market and policy research $ k4 ]6 `( ]+ c; |/ J2 @
• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners - g: G8 _% `( ?' I, ]/ P$ Q
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation ! b1 z% C9 W* M
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs ' E; j4 k! q6 I( t
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
0 s5 d7 m! d0 b3 t9 i• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
7 v0 }; N, Y3 c' r8 [! D7 Q! S+ k, t• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada ) D$ ]9 R v$ e1 G) t
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
4 Q1 Z3 e- n3 ?0 j& _• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
; v9 R/ b0 \ w# x- }! K7 l• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities 3 Q1 {8 J) `: n- t: k2 e; M1 r7 @9 K
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team 0 x3 j7 @# {" D& S; f& _
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

! T+ D, Z) i E' s- D" e# o3 A• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
, D6 v- p, z! L) g: Y" ]• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners ( e; T' ]* w. c( X1 V
• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting : B% {# F+ K6 s; v( W7 l
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports : U$ g( h* f: C, i) x0 G( k4 I4 H
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

6 H% P" Q- v* N, C. [4 b• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
a. k9 l% N8 D( n q" m$ J! o3 z* _• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
" k8 L6 Y8 m" ^* Z• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training - y. r9 ^' @. {4 k7 N3 B
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities 0 H6 b" }7 k% S3 h
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams ( J# {. A. t; g& V6 `7 ~
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals ; Q' V3 X+ d6 p G- s' ?4 s
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts 5 N) g% \$ n1 S
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
% r6 h4 A/ r( C5 S8 c0 K. l• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
) i. Z% @' q+ H: i( w9 O3 d• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education , S9 P1 l! V* U0 Z$ S! O
• Content / curriculum development experience ) l" L+ A g# w2 @
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners
/ h3 k: a0 S/ C8 b. N• Excellent organizational skills . \, g) r C, K: c
• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.
