SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
M5 C2 Z4 `; ?& X2 _! J" \• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
) Q) a4 s0 ]' l8 O• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 9 E4 i2 f6 g2 b' B" ]$ l o6 J, t
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs

• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:
; \) S& ~' ~0 C• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada
( z1 s2 X& }( q. C8 a# G4 `7 w• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
( T4 Z0 C5 ~' K- z6 H• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required - Z* o# U# x/ C! y. ^" H
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
) W' i7 g& U9 ^, F3 a9 B• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
- o# F% ]( o, U( [, d• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies $ n% m9 u# |3 S' M9 b
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
1 k' n, J: W" c1 f• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
# R5 `1 \ p6 k6 Z. s: c. d• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports
( k+ k( y9 ^3 B; H1 A, _• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning

• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
6 Z+ |; e0 A$ h; ]6 X G• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media M% q$ b9 C" H
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training ; B9 v# C2 R* G$ M! }1 O* D$ H
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
: y8 a0 `& g) B* ~: Y: r• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 9 X. m P$ G+ i: ^2 w
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals

}/ o& L6 Q( I( z, z( |• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
9 ~- c6 A+ w0 X) Z: X6 p• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc

• Content / curriculum development experience

• Excellent organizational skills
