Job Description
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
) |; [) Q6 ~1 x- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
$ ]3 o  D/ J/ M1 l0 a2 D* |-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
- provide support to ISP staff
6 H+ |3 r3 \. M- e- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
3 |+ z; a- r" {/ J: C- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
/ B3 ]8 |, V, a7 X  b4 g5 ^- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
: w! ^/ b7 o; S% D- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- other duties as assigned

) l. g' i( i$ q5 B' }Qualifications
: D0 e3 I& H, x$ \- h7 Y  y- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
  z/ T) O) ~/ c# ?- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
! b/ a4 f: y9 H' H- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
- good organizational and coordination skills
# w- W" ^5 g* T2 u7 i; J5 R: Y- valid driver’s license

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
