Job Description
; y* w& G8 s0 g5 c3 e' K& ~- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
( @1 J( B; m) r: Q) t9 M9 \9 s- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc./ P% J4 z/ @# z- T% G
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
& m* s2 q( J, K ]- provide support to ISP staff, ]. z' `9 V/ e- P( X2 n9 a; S# e
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
3 d& L7 k. f. {- K- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
0 h2 [: }! b% I) s6 w: D- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated% n, h& z! x' Q) v" I3 h! j
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants. ^. _5 ?& y9 P5 ]9 o
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals( L3 k$ L* A8 B# O6 y+ d/ T/ G
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
. i% j: \# a; G- P- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
( q K0 c3 d6 z1 Q+ X8 I- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
" X7 R7 w1 S3 y1 J- T- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned. x8 R( B2 F3 l1 G1 I3 d

) K$ T. Z5 V/ r$ ]* EQualifications
+ [- c3 F L( {# Y9 |- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
# j% J" ^6 m% [- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available% f1 c) \1 e4 F. G2 N, C2 G5 ~
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers& A/ L2 W; K$ t4 q; @) Y0 h" d2 L1 I
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software1 X7 S: N# c/ ], I& v
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- valid driver’s license
