Job Description
% [# p: T; v4 S1 L/ j- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
( l; n# n7 T& \( j* A- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
; q c( z! B) J% T! n+ h2 _3 A+ B- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
/ L% m* S7 K4 N l9 C) Z- b. A- provide support to ISP staff
* R3 n$ |2 Y' s0 H: q' x$ G- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members" q) V% G) [% ^+ H3 l6 R
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities, u; Y0 c& Z/ I( t" @! g) m3 W. Z
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
1 {) M- b4 }4 [+ o- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants4 n6 Z2 o/ ^; s3 T3 U/ h1 W" {
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals* f- Q/ G4 W; l0 g
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
# L. {: l- P; M# b. P5 p. g- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.

- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications1 s& d- y0 ?4 v, C
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered. F# @) s& Q' j8 D R7 c, N
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available- w# K" d; k) _
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers$ S4 K& H- S: D7 @8 l
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software4 x! O- g8 [7 t" M/ ^% z
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- good organizational and coordination skills
