 Provide ongoing positive encouragement and support to clients accessing the Resource Centre.: L, F5 h- _3 Z. N! |- M3 J% T
 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

 Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.
/ X  ]5 d; s( H Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Be required to work flexible hours, with some evening and occasional weekend work

 Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers0 S& l8 T/ i: l
 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
$ \* @: Z$ O' i4 _5 ~8 q; }4 r Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.
9 C- c7 ]( ^2 F; f Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

 Attend multi-agency and multidisciplinary meetings, as required

 Deliver program overview to potential clients, as well as other interested parties.

) _% {7 z- \4 E3 Q. s/ L7 p Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
2 l7 ]7 x; u' ~& L2 m  @6 c Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.
! r9 [/ M# K; K$ m+ E5 D Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan.1 Y' K; |# B7 Z6 r9 g1 ]

 Interact with participants on a continuous basis so that the Service Plan progress can be monitored throughout the program and into the follow up period& h/ x) K# Y- k4 G, W" _. Z

 Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
4 k5 j0 \7 |6 F* w# }% R Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment
; {( g! S5 o' Z0 D0 R1 ]* | Assist clients with obtaining required documentation for working in their profession in Canada, D! ~6 M/ ^& E
 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants
9 }' |/ p9 Z2 h. z, b Complete participant reviews with the participants
) e$ H3 }# a. D1 J/ B1 @ Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion
