We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

H8 M$ Q5 O* [Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

7 a* P% l: p7 B9 _4 o9 l6 K' v- Gathering and documenting requirements;

+ G# I' v: T% T9 K$ y! d! e: f( J& A- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

; J. n5 O% L' B( x4 J/ B- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

+ ^6 N7 d! c( I% U6 M- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

# H  l& a6 J8 z, L' Y- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

; D2 q! D6 d" D0 G# \! G- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

) p, f9 q5 I9 X0 X& i1 P  @  K  a- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
