We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta./ l" p8 a! Z! A; S" K- C( i
- i9 \, Z0 U" F @5 h+ uReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;4 k3 `/ y$ ^$ m, O2 J

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;7 q$ L2 `7 }3 N- e! ]5 @; a, ]

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;% q! x1 K* v- O

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;6 h/ Z" _4 q1 S- K

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;5 U% U" R0 `4 g1 Q! B( ]# O0 Q

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
