Y1 BPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Senior Program Facilitator will provide information sessions to seniors on settlement and integration topics, advocate the needs of immigrant seniors for social resources and seek collaboration with other ethno-cultural communities. 5 @' m& [1 \+ Z9 ~

-Liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese senior community
, [- _) M* X* j; ?1 c; D-Plan and coordinate workshops, seminars and activities that give Chinese senior population access to mainstream services
( ]0 w* E8 y, z& S8 J. a/ [-Fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese senior community in terms of social services
" R5 i8 ~5 o1 U! I-Develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
2 G: ]6 K4 |( R3 O2 o-Participate in ISP and agency meetings/activities
8 \& A: H; a+ W( _-Participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to senior/immigrant services8 ~6 C" u' F9 Z F3 }" ~

Qualifications
7 h& @1 ^5 U7 I5 f8 A/ `& d-Degree/diploma in social sciences, social work or other human services field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited institution. Being able to communicate effectively in Chinese to provide linguistically appropriate services+ R4 E% r7 _$ W/ o9 i9 x8 {0 {
-Good oral and written Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English skills- ] r+ X7 I, A/ R4 R, T
-Ability to coordinate workshops and seminars1 p1 _5 S4 |1 q' P) b1 n- N9 C
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to prepare monthly statistical and narrative reports
