Drivers are being warned of a new auto insurance scam that’s emerged in the GTA and around Ontario.
" j9 i k. O0 \ L9 N6 k: H" QNewspaper ads have been placed in several Ontario cities, including Toronto, advertising auto insurance under the name “Security Insurance Inc.”
1 e9 g& R5 y `$ ^The fraud asks consumers to call a number and victims are then directed to send money by Western Union for auto insurance coverage. But no insurance policy is provided and duped victims who follow up with the phone number find the number is out of service.
