Canada’s first comprehensive Digital Economy Strategy, we need to look

6 Q+ J( ?. V9 r/ q2 o% w xThe Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has) }# e6 x% }! v/ J3 J6 M& p: n
chosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large7 V7 L0 ^2 C$ }0 E
number of Canadians. Details of the CRTC consultation are available at

When the CRTC reaches a final decision following its consultations, the6 o1 _' S* @; d( ~) Q" A' E1 n* q: a8 Y
government will carefully assess the CRTC position to ensure that it is in
1 _: ]- w( I. h0 ?1 }8 t+ K/ Iline with the best interests of Canadian consumers and encourages7 C- O- b1 e+ h S5 B
competition among internet service providers. I will be recommending that. A q- p& k- e/ `
