 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
& g, l9 c8 o/ X# ?! q) H Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
* c, V8 s" j  P4 F1 Q Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
9 c) `* r% W# P) O% t Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
$ K3 M$ A' }0 @3 j( w- ^- G Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
. G7 B) }, i* U1 W Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
& U$ Y4 {3 s9 o. u$ B3 P; I Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
