 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
2 \- j* \2 G" M9 m' i3 v( j Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
' \4 p7 b: L. \2 _9 U2 V Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
4 J  @; K) \' ^% p5 {0 U Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
( D% [$ }9 ~: o* U# r" E8 X# v Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
& O4 K4 R( {; F' ^  o& x Current RSW designation preferred   
  u. f& C9 V8 b0 B! K9 u Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
4 h2 f# D- l' J7 U  P1 X4 i4 l' g Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
