Responsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
/ F4 l  T6 I/ e- {& \ Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
8 {" p+ s. ]9 g) h3 N; V6 { Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
& u2 R% }3 V6 Z- l/ }$ U: | Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
3 j$ |8 \$ j* b- _4 l Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
5 n; @8 j  k" q& m! Y Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
- _! h$ E, m) f8 ~$ h. D4 ]( y* W Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
4 x# g& G. K7 G+ w Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
4 G% D: _2 c7 y0 m  M Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
