2 w0 n+ z2 p0 e: gResponsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
. z  X, \& m. N3 _# f' L1 A Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
) v. S1 E" o, X' x1 D! ~- ?8 o9 A Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
% Y" o+ c# J0 J7 C. G7 O  E Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
/ ]+ A( S# }7 }- j! ^1 [0 n Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
 Social work degree or diploma
6 |  h" e! N2 ^/ s2 ~9 Z Current RSW designation preferred   
- P! O/ }% `; [# T Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
3 x2 r5 e* g/ y. o  x- V Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
' b5 v( {  A0 r, ] Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
