  Duties
. q4 s8 d6 Y  d( @# C6 EDelivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
/ l+ T: W6 ]) Z0 M5 c+ _7 S5 h/ }Obtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
  ^: a: w# Q& y0 KEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
4 ~  C, a$ ]" c, _) X4 O$ @3 ePrioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
8 k% W2 q8 }: zOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
High School diploma; previous driving experience required
" U* o7 S! S0 u* _* OCurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
& l/ s( p& `4 M! MTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
