Duties
6 Q: u0 i9 V5 {& Y( m% D3 nAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)2 j- B1 s' d6 K
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required d+ F4 w8 `2 Y; p7 \
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed

Qualifications& [8 W" p' @0 C D
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
) p1 s% U* Z# }, j6 A) S" i0 z( L* nDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
3 h" V" e! s. M3 ]0 H( p, [2 d# }Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset% _" t! o7 i* C& {4 Y
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
Z* G/ h% b4 d6 D8 w8 TFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit* A- {0 W8 a2 t3 M
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages; G+ N- g& Q) j
