移民签证时护照的有效期限

申请技术移民，今年7月初在edmonton体检，一直在等待。
前几天突然想起明年3月现在的护照就过期了
/ q; U+ w, F. e( V- f! O请问如果近期收到passport request，寄去做移民签证的话，是否护照有效期必须是6个月以上呢？

应该不用的吧，没有哪个地方说护照有效期要有6个月的。
这个是具体要求：

We require an original VALID passport for yourself and every accompanying family
member. Passports for you and all accompanying family members should be submitted
together.
) q) T8 Y  V& g( R
, a7 X1 S: n! H1 UThere must be at least two blank visa pages in each passport.

If there are children included in your passport there must be visa pages for them as well.

Please note: Immigrant visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military
passports.
