 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth./ Y9 T, L) g6 R' } p8 }
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
. @3 H# i0 _+ H3 k Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.* |% J9 h; a8 U9 ^; T4 g. A
 Completing required paperwork.: K% r- N! T0 }- i3 Y) b
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops. Y. `, p) y. e2 J S; S7 u0 r
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% g# \7 n- D- S Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
M: d% ^! p+ w8 o" _! r$ F1 c Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
7 _; s5 V8 g' l: k Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
: d2 t2 Y; u% S4 T" f- X Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

$ `% l9 ]: ~" m Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
- x1 p; C* ^) i0 _8 y Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 F }# }# |5 F% J% A Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, B: F0 ~, M. V1 h Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
9 R8 n1 t6 R1 x Knowledge of community resources. b0 m! s8 t' K% k0 I6 n1 T+ I
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.* j1 o8 O2 j T6 `( V7 V
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 7 w; x0 r, |& N) J

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. - p% Q7 K. J- j* p" D1 G
There is a 3-month probationary period. * a7 k; b! @3 f3 z
