 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
, K6 O8 D2 |: n! x7 \' F Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
5 J- ~. l: ]# D3 e% q$ [8 M: ? Completing required paperwork.
  n- T2 ~7 S3 R+ d Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ [; r( V0 Y# K Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
6 c6 Z* W1 a. K4 l+ ?# T- t% s  ]5 `6 X Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
- S7 O- a9 i- s Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
# |1 k2 R, H1 V" t* p$ @ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

7 `) V6 E( n# o5 @ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ [# E. m- G" S1 W Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
6 |$ `% `% M/ i5 U; m7 S6 }4 V Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
; ], h5 W2 `" y" \8 I Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
' g4 u* z! {3 E* Q# NThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
