Key Responsibilities & Duties:
! Q$ g7 {; ^: L7 V' F
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
; p8 A/ X* G, J) w6 H+ i Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: V1 b- i1 S, b0 u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
2 b: q! ?' O8 Q% f3 o Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 C6 i- G- E7 v. N1 { Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
, q$ h- t; K3 O! B% I- A Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
2 R2 z! B) \0 U/ L5 s. \2 x/ o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
$ w/ `' @+ h  Z+ O! ` Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
1 C  o% i8 }, ]& u+ T# H  z Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
. u+ m! [3 f2 W, l$ [ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
7 d+ x6 O+ t0 g7 RThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
$ @; U4 z. }6 G/ RThere is a 3-month probationary period.
