' L0 Z- S5 ^8 }& B e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. e1 U) T' k/ W' G+ m. O$ B Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: d1 |0 F* w! | Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.; i' }% I( ~6 g' \
 Completing required paperwork.: o8 m+ F4 d6 e
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.% D1 `& S9 C' _* v G' O
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.# w$ R$ N+ H& P w& _) C; O
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - H4 P& n0 Q" K7 ^# o$ o
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 v, N) g1 m w Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.+ O3 ~. Q! J8 J3 Z! u5 D4 K: p
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
$ r, h9 W. h* N3 i' _
! Y* t- k6 n. C: l Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
, x; M5 ?: Y! q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
+ S$ K# P' u! h9 z. o Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.9 k9 M _6 ?! [: ]6 y9 j/ i
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* K E5 g5 x/ A Knowledge of community resources.
: |9 @2 R! }( {( e& T& I: q# V Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance. M( Y! u: A1 \( E" Y
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. & @" t# _: C @
& `- O; C4 h8 a- h6 b$ pPosition:
! F6 ^6 V: I0 w; B# QThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. " w7 t% o( H6 O7 F6 c
There is a 3-month probationary period. ( @; k8 `0 X/ ]/ k; W& E
