) h- x  T6 F; I4 R7 V* ]  B# } Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ B8 m& c# K" t& Z9 m: h Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! w' b* B/ S8 C' W5 F0 T3 x6 j Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
5 b& v- c1 r5 X4 U, U Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
' Z1 \! u- Q+ I Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
/ a# n* X+ \6 S3 o+ {" ~7 V Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ D* y* c6 E! a- s& o3 o Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
; C3 U$ x% i2 ?8 \ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
! F+ m3 m' N* A
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
( q( \. F& |2 S$ ^) [$ ~2 Q! | Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
4 g5 d) ?5 T- Z Knowledge of community resources.
2 y' E1 R0 G/ p* |" ^: w" B- { Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
8 Y1 G9 P/ W) K- G Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ E9 B& T7 X$ [5 B2 x+ iPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
' g* o( ?7 f4 C& qThere is a 3-month probationary period.
