/ F: N4 v0 \4 M9 v3 [Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
/ e) Z+ n2 H1 P Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
( p9 D' f# c3 W+ a Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
* V4 r; P+ Z1 M- d) ^( T9 q4 q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
& U+ E+ \, ~9 C9 \6 r Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
8 \1 F8 i, p& b0 L+ n1 [0 L Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

$ G1 [$ t# ^% a5 PPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
