 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
& G0 _# k7 v' o4 h Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
$ D* I! }" z9 \8 q5 l+ k Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
; X  D$ a; q1 z Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' }' x$ Q3 O  ?9 w8 u- P$ P Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
# t' A( {5 q. N8 y1 i Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.
' K8 N! H# {& ~9 J- D  V& y! T
# J4 a! d: U& s+ P7 X8 e1 |
# o* A8 h! ]& o, f. }Qualifications:
7 E; t7 [( [8 R
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
4 E. [" B" @1 t) x3 T1 @ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
, j8 v) y$ @  m$ H4 x$ E Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
7 N8 S; @2 h: K; |1 M& C2 C3 z* `9 E3 v Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
. L; L/ j9 u4 X( W. u) d Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

, \' c: X2 H0 e; O# O. Q% L1 jPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
