3 b% D+ N9 c E4 j8 C9 h& J Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
6 K+ V+ B$ h& | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 K! Q( e3 r( j+ s) U: {
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.% A$ n0 |0 ~8 ?; x/ X: ^% ~ C" g
 Completing required paperwork./ Z4 l4 E2 q- C3 B
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.# N9 } Y' S% l# F* W# {* S F
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.6 |0 c- E- _/ U
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. - T$ [3 T2 t. b+ q
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner./ `7 E) v+ d* z) l
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.; P/ i+ r! R8 Q0 N1 K
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
7 g( q0 ]& Y. f1 r Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.# l5 M. `, N- |! r5 S* U
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ Y. o% [% Z( l2 A) ~5 B( B7 m% ?- Q Knowledge of community resources.
7 U% n1 N; l& K0 Z) v$ F" M) Q Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.& ?- J1 Z0 Q" b: C3 m
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. # ~9 G$ o" {! v9 |7 z+ f% ~% s, H

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; 7 S7 j& c: Q* [: W
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
