Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
4 Z" n0 e. x) O3 x  oReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
2 T1 |) k5 C2 D  y1 S* @) o$ QResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
2 X, G( ?6 l; _" p# u% xMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
2 K4 t; P2 A3 C4 t8 Y. L2 fMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
4 }' L5 g0 t" d5 a& x# `Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
