Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
+ v. U) r: m8 p# j* F% fResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

: h) v8 W- u+ n/ E9 P) J' R% t
: ?. X" {& i! ?" c( p! }Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
. W  h! d, p3 TMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
4 |) u4 B# `. BMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
4 ^0 M, U* V9 c3 UExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
: ^) B& j8 |6 r  y! pUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* q) ^3 V( u2 x! B+ bAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
