Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.; |! K" {& W1 ]% |2 V( D

Key Responsibilities:

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
' i, ?+ |: L. C2 g' e, M4 u3 }8 f, {Review, develop and improve processes and procedures 0 M! {6 u- R1 I7 L) S& I. V: C8 ?7 ~9 E
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
+ U( ~! T+ r. k. E) MMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients + J" [9 C8 L5 n7 U. I' H6 U

Qualifications' t2 y2 {. ~- d; f. }

Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman 9 |- ?' I: B# E/ J. o* w
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
, E( p, }9 `7 x7 hMinimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman ; W9 C+ Q6 w8 n' b; r# ?4 d
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset + R+ {4 W4 a3 F4 k% L, \
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
8 |6 P" `6 d: T& R5 X* nUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects / X8 {- O& }, x$ g
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Ability to work independently as well as in a team- X' N5 Y; w6 N/ u- p/ h6 w9 z
