Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

{! Y0 }: n" H" N- @Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects 7 @# }! W7 s0 g* |% j# K
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures ! I5 v/ d. z- v
Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
4 D t1 N7 K3 Q0 V* H( T. \Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients r- l$ s2 g9 C
% g# }; d( S8 J# g5 CQualifications3 a3 O5 y" j k: Z/ W
% _: u0 K& t" \% v5 h
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
7 i# r9 Y$ e3 m" E W/ ?8 ZMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings 4 M9 c* L" F3 }! W
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
+ |! q5 ]4 K9 l5 L. AExperience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
M7 p% l0 r* G, XUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process - g6 O/ L% ~$ q: O2 \
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects ( p- \* ?& q% W6 E" N _
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office - o" Z) x0 o5 k. ^8 x: E: o
Ability to communicate with all levels of management " i) }$ s0 M2 p! L3 L4 H
Ability to work independently as well as in a team9 S: i' l" w/ [) @* U
