An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
8 c0 x1 O4 V% ^+ U" k9 T•        Process research equipment design;
* C2 x( \7 z5 r+ l  U•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
) o9 z; j4 c' o/ J) ~  x! ^; s" E2 f•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
, f. @# k5 O( l•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

5 E% G; G1 e. R3 y) t& N. kQualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
+ M' Q5 }, }; v/ }. w8 k•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
9 r. Y% J2 Z- f•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
% R7 L7 y# @* `' f•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

& k9 d: o8 v% P8 T' L  QCompensation:
* s- e% J4 t2 Y8 C6 v4 C* a; S+ XSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
