An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

• Process research equipment design;3 |2 h: ]. n3 W( w
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;% G5 a; \2 B- _, d: {0 l/ }
• Equipment fabrication guidance;/ G5 ?" M/ [8 ]2 h0 d7 H
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;% `) h# |' u# ~% K; Y' S
• Others.

Qualifications:
+ t1 M, u0 R0 W% T# T7 |2 u• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
, W0 f* b, @2 H1 A• Equipment design experience is required;3 d/ g: K1 B; Z F; S
• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
9 M2 Y& f0 g2 q4 m4 |• Familiar with CAD software;- Q; j' T4 I: C4 L
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;- y7 a" @" E& E) H
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.% R7 O* i( a! j

. p1 c: X* r( ~+ n. K( M8 KSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. ( h7 q, |. ^1 E0 _& l
