An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
0 u& v6 [; v! b) z• Process research equipment design;
! c/ ]" {+ V3 f1 j8 T2 b• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;+ r+ B4 s, K C. i' N
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
, R- ^. t' l+ k+ x/ g d• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
$ R6 z7 h {5 B- {6 T" b8 Y% V0 }• Others.

Qualifications:' `* W1 Q8 f1 M) N
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
) ^2 {0 ~; y. D- p/ r• Equipment design experience is required;
- i1 O/ J1 N5 G3 B• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;; ^. v& O; a+ C4 Z
• Familiar with CAD software;/ `8 }. g' M. ~- I% O9 N/ g2 c" g
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;+ V5 N" O2 Q( m, h: h( |& Y
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets. O. Q, a4 i0 ^ l, a

Compensation:
$ g& m0 Q" U/ I( i, w2 @* DSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
