Major Responsibilities:
$ w* t, w% d: U9 a, Q$ B• Process research equipment design;3 Q! m$ x$ G% ?( r1 {/ X: b7 i* L
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;2 S$ ?: A* G% {1 g+ v3 v! G9 M m
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
, Y6 Z' j6 Y( {& y% g( t/ J' \• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;: q( P" L: e$ k0 }3 i
• Others.7 h L: j1 c6 H$ S ^, l- `) ~
\$ ?0 n+ { u" S$ b, iQualifications:
6 x! p8 c6 S& o& E• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
% v5 D5 i v3 ^7 q. ^2 e* Z' _- n• Equipment design experience is required;
0 v: v, R" H! A1 ^ o• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;9 U$ S4 b+ X5 y
• Familiar with CAD software;' l/ H# {# S9 g6 {0 V1 G( _+ A r
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;" M- W7 F& a% \- k! Y& d8 {& _
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
