An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

% b7 W' A, c( B# K6 i( q. `/ o•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
- E7 r2 C, c! |+ p. ]+ G•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
. s  O* L) F* C3 Q1 @4 ~•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
1 n+ t, J3 w& Z( D: k$ }8 Y•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
7 F# W1 _/ ^% r' _•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
4 y( H3 v7 A: a4 m6 Q* U( q, T' PSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
