) J9 s0 _9 B. o% \2 y5 W6 k Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" [  N( j/ _7 H, }0 j/ o, J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ P! r# ~% r4 A. p' [9 a Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 R. W' R# W' \ Completing required paperwork.
- o; d0 d2 i% v6 K* J Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
6 }2 {/ U! h/ J" w! j: H6 a
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. v& f2 k. y' h- E* Y+ y. i Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
