+ w1 `2 ]( {, `" D& [. f& v Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" M0 B# @  z3 b. O Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
% Y, z, N, N5 p1 O  J4 P Completing required paperwork.
: G% s- C1 p8 E- U4 ~5 g Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' }7 f4 I6 ?& d2 |& f' c4 c Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
3 }: W5 _! t( H% M2 Y Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
1 j3 m# h4 h/ ?( J0 g8 [3 ^2 w Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
$ S( Y% ~9 \. @0 m/ o Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.

6 d* t$ `' S' G Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
4 \5 }: f) J! L" cstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
