2 F. i+ y+ e% G; F9 J! | Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
# Z2 r. Y) q% I! `  l, i( h8 b Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
6 @0 m/ a6 \# j5 S# S Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
5 t5 \" W/ o/ ^8 g4 A7 p Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
/ U( l1 ^  A3 N+ b8 g+ \) q7 N Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ `% s+ g: y/ q6 q. }( o6 r6 D' N' { Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 Q, R3 Z7 m+ O, _7 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 _! S/ y  m! z: a: z& ?) B Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
: h( A2 \# G" W: [( Z% l Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
