The Desktop Support Team Leader is a supervisory/advisory position that is responsible for the support of the City of Edmonton desktop environment, including geographical support City wide:+ U7 J& y2 L, s V" \! k# A

· Supervising a team of technical staff, which will include staff recruitment, setting performance expectations, evaluations, mentoring and coaching.5 \; ^6 y( B9 Y4 e4 p2 [4 r/ \; v

· Planning, coordinating and allocating staff to ensure effective & efficient support of City desktops.) F& G# T& w$ v6 q, I6 G

· Ensuring the Desktop Support Area is meeting /exceeding performance expectations defined in Service Level Agreements, by providing essential metrics for performance monitoring.

· Performing quality assurance for work performed, in response to customer requests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· Degree or Diploma in Computing Science from a C.I.P.S. accredited institution., \) A0 `2 M) e2 b# F

· Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible work in systems development that would include supporting a desktop environment.; [, J' i L: f* H# n
1 Z/ c! J2 }* X1 N* R' w K y· Experience in supervision, leading,and managing a team of technical experts is essential.

· Demonstrated expertise in streamlining of processes to improve operational efficiency.

· Strong technical, communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.

33.75 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.

21M, Salary Grade: 038, $37.02 - $46.76 (Hourly), $2,498.99 - $3,156.37 (Bi-Weekly), $65,223.51 - $82,381.19 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.7 v+ J5 Z: b, g7 L. p6 j
