中加文化不同，切忌先用中文组成句子，再翻成英语。那样必成Chinglish.

Wrong!
English sentence sequence shall be reversed compared to Chinese, so : "Reduce material and steal labour" is correct

昨天问老外同事，怎样预防做院子的landscaping 公司偷工减料，他用的就是cut corners. 现学现用，再用这个咨询其他同事时，他们一听就明白我说的是什么。所以我想这个词应该是口语比较常用的吧。
