SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
6 ?6 u& M0 [1 G8 k9 ccustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
/ E9 U% h. @8 v! Ythe Store Manager.
$ |1 n( k$ P( p  D0 J' wDuties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
, Y* C3 m& B. X6 d• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
/ D6 Z! `: f) d! ^* t1 m• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
! ~) w  n1 h$ ~looks under 25 years of age
4 T+ I3 V& C0 ]. W$ ~6 v7 NStore Responsibilities
3 @- _$ i) i' e: Z• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager

• High School graduate
) |6 R  [/ V* q6 M/ C# Z• Criminal record check.
% ?) t$ _; a3 e, c• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
! D. L  j/ @- `8 ]" ]: V/ l$ J- l• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies

• Fast paced environment
• Demanding workload
9 l# P& r- ?3 MPhysical Requirements
  A1 ], h$ y; k$ h* f/ d• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
