SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
; l: R+ f: {. B% A$ N" y2 `that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
the Store Manager.
- |4 n4 u# n1 q$ r( q6 v2 pDuties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
+ K' y0 M' p5 l• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
8 {: r, y( Z# m1 }* U3 g: x& ]  m• Assist customers find what they are looking for
" e  T% }- K4 h' k- X• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
# ?' Z) p/ V* NStore Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
# q0 Q7 d9 l3 I8 U5 i) o• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
* S2 y+ L! F6 w• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
2 E" ~" y; U6 s• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
+ E" i6 f5 I2 Z) U, l• Close the store (key holders)
" C2 f- |" I. V# }( G• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager

• High School graduate
. H' r) c  s* ~3 o5 F# }5 O• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
+ E' `6 L( F$ P; M! g• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions

# d# E% S) Q' ?. ^Physical Requirements
# @  d' }/ ~; R7 ^• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
& V) X- n9 N2 |8 |$ D3 Q• Comfortable climbing ladders
