Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.
/ B  k" O7 `7 `8 k' e! N- q0 u" f6 G
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
* U, v: \. ]% K: g9 a        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
- ^& ?- D2 n7 p" ^•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
. u2 Q; d+ L: a1 {8 d8 h/ t; m•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
$ b# P( E" R3 X& s, L•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
/ S# u) Z6 M* `1 c; Y1 z•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
