MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

0 F& l5 D, C- CKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
+ L: K2 ?+ I9 s        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
! M) h  k4 F# |! x        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 m# J" V. @1 \: D8 o5 X        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

# y) n' X6 a  }# Y3 f7 O3 PQUALIFICATIONS:
, w& F, n1 C9 }  L- E, w( j•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
) l+ W- `$ M4 R0 U•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
. w1 k, F. Y4 B5 b  i3 V6 e•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
2 i3 e1 m3 Z5 t# n•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
, I5 J1 Z( A3 |$ |- O•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
# @' x# K0 J7 L•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
