this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA 1 Q% ~; o4 k' q

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and " H, A+ L* O7 }. ?
execution of the YWCA Strategy

! D7 M# R1 N9 Z W• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of * j# s* T1 `# s$ L# e7 q
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by s/ E' ^" Y9 | U5 K9 E
the Board of Directors; ) ?3 R0 ~8 c" y% Q, e% ]( y6 h
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ! m, d- U8 F' ]' d
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to & y$ U$ E+ }+ c7 S3 y# ?
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
" U+ J0 U! q! L# L; w• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and . |. x, w4 U# A) a* K: \) v1 v
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by & `. u- a& H( T5 ]" d( D6 p
the board;
, J# G4 o6 m- K1 L7 I2 F• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
5 ?% L& R% S# s9 q• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
( u* w7 ]0 K+ S: f+ athe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
2 ~% c- o$ P* R7 `• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the

• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

5 B$ F+ @1 C" j7 w2 y• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; r+ I7 I' D8 ^! H9 Z3 ?1 ~) C0 F
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
+ G7 q* ~' A. o4 o- Qselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 4 {% H& \, e$ k2 ~
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; # p; {+ n- R3 y! j" q, I0 q
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to
+ |: @ _, c+ v2 K! jeffectively and positively represent the association; + Q! J9 Y/ J& ~+ [% w% o9 r D* c

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring ' u4 @! p6 ~* T- N4 n$ d
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; & r+ T! }0 Y* R! c4 k% x* j
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
- W4 e# B7 C# G4 c% qperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED $ J+ l$ g$ I4 ]& S a1 r
the forthcoming year;
0 r7 E4 u6 Q& e5 D• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
! v( p* ^# a. s/ kpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of
# n& q" S% l: h! a. ZYWCA Canada; and
+ ~! ]1 s% ]) k' y; b8 y/ |• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 3 {2 W8 E7 Y' S. o

: R5 }" U* L2 w7 M• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; 7 [6 x% y5 p. B; X! q u
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation C2 r8 A! L2 g# [2 `
abilities; ; i0 d8 {/ y x. t4 B% f6 ~. s+ N
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, m- c9 \4 b% p
Networking and Fundraising; 0 ] }! c( e3 C5 V" Z: [# X
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 5 e: }. P! K% j

• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
