7 D- }* F b" O' n• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
( N, b4 Q! s: S/ M4 uthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
0 D/ Z! {) r! ?• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
- }7 z V6 K# R8 l( {; y2 `the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; 4 [& D6 |# \9 Y# M; e
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
# j9 D4 L7 Q2 a5 A4 ~5 H, w- Mchanging needs of the organization and community; ; ?2 r) g. B" } {; `
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 9 j3 |0 k: N9 \
commitments;
j6 X* R# U7 v) `• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; $ D- ^' Q9 @+ Q& Q- T
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
+ }( n7 Z% j- w, d7 b, N" a, dselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 1 W/ m2 d8 n- O* h- d
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;
* \- R8 P( a7 [5 x p% z% K• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

8 u* T% K5 R' W6 M8 \8 F- R• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
5 t; ` i! Q' Qthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; % }4 ^5 b% L6 d8 c7 p
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal u- Y: c! [1 F4 p% \- [8 ~
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ( W+ E6 \0 [, o2 v, {
the forthcoming year; 0 f5 ]: N4 h3 o3 _; ^
• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
* w% {- j9 r5 ~* v6 O$ M5 y& Mpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of 7 I9 ^) n4 }% N0 g
YWCA Canada; and 2 f/ H. i* g( K# J, t2 C! o
• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Ability to develop and understand organizational goals, objectives and operations;

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ) o& i$ I- r x' r p
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting * l8 X7 _0 m# H* E
and financial statements; and
