Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and ! s+ r6 C \3 c
execution of the YWCA Strategy

0 e* o, J0 {) ]% \0 qthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations " c) M0 j6 X3 h1 p
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to . x- Y* u, x# K* G
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
) U4 p }! P' p$ Kthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; # E# j1 X. U5 b1 C/ I
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
9 K& t& w- [( v# lthe implementation of systems to manage these risks; : \. A+ D1 \$ v
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 7 k; ?' E* p5 g; T: P
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

. r: E0 i# [" Z• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

YWCA Canada; and

Required Professional Designation / Certification
. {+ E1 I8 ~& Q+ Z: s$ ?• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. 7 S3 M- V8 L( Z( |

Required Experience
7 T/ v# m9 J6 v• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; $ Q" K, c8 Q' G- Q4 }2 t
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation
# c2 s7 I2 \3 n7 ?8 r4 e, c' wabilities;
# f% m# p5 b$ c) z4 x• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
: w! E7 {( h. B6 B7 e+ \! vNetworking and Fundraising; 7 R+ o( c; n* K' h
• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting 2 I( |( X( w6 n) c" c7 [& H
and financial statements; and ' `$ u# ?) e0 T: ^$ w8 r! R- y
• Experience advocating, empowering and championing women and girls from a women
