' v# t; [5 O. C7 y8 u0 M, VThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

* h, ?' E6 g! I0 l# r9 ^- s6 _§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution : T/ m g1 C. c. z
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation0 N) K& M% e* g. x* X6 W
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times v4 e' V7 u! o4 n
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
2 [6 [! M' r' w. Q0 x9 i§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert9 ?* u3 ~, i, d0 z5 x( I5 _
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties4 o) q/ A! z" e) D7 K+ a
§ Special projects as required8 F( [1 {0 B- w8 M
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:
) ^# t" A2 r+ Z( G§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience4 K2 D! @7 O4 [ E& H- [
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
& p- N3 d9 K# G+ O1 n§ Fundamental commitment to customer service, a: X! Z$ _4 k7 {! C
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues9 V& q: _: I y7 P8 ]8 m8 _
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
U* `% f( x0 q( k0 C# A§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). ' Q! k0 P3 z9 u) G% g

§ Manage a stable local IT environment & z5 R' L' g; l* s1 _4 p3 Z

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
+ _ ]. Y5 c9 [ T6 t§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives% a- `* q P( Q; ] T
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to

9 A' y* u# {* S1 _/ ]§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access9 v5 n( o: A" @* S9 I
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures

§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk

§ Coordinate and support end user training
