% k& D1 \  K& o' dThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.4 W& u0 s% R/ z

Responsibilities:
* ]' T& w! \; F§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
5 G+ p' Y" r+ f! f+ o' J§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
0 [: T# r" S8 X5 e, C* n8 H! E8 i§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
2 D; J* d: Z8 r# r) t1 K: g§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
/ \. J% a  Y+ @9 c# z& k§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk# O" o; u# D. I
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
0 I) q0 E) k3 g§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience# K9 @: a! o8 S$ |/ z
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision+ Z& ~3 k9 {# [) Z, \9 L
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
& g. q! d8 ]" m+ B6 ~1 d§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
0 `7 s% e; [. I% y§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware9 V  S; \6 z' r/ {
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software  Z2 P8 w8 T. l: o1 T
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems5 X/ y8 F: f& F. ) r$ k" z! p/ X; u/ T, [0 XThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 5 j* o4 X' T* X

§ Manage a stable local IT environment
- l' ?* s8 S7 j7 n§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
& F6 z; Q1 E2 K5 I* f/ u8 Q§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
9 d8 r+ N* Y4 z; _8 e% W8 X§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
$ F, G% W3 O" F1 V9 C§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports0 K8 L! [& f( b! Y
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation' S: {% g. P! d/ l  T1 O
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to" m- a1 e: Z4 U5 A/ R4 v9 @
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times) j; H. p. _& Q9 }% {& J
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access; a1 b9 g) @; k6 s& f1 K2 K2 |
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures$ a+ X3 I4 q& p. E
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
  p4 L2 k, p: m5 p3 o  _§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk7 O3 b- K/ L& g! c3 ^$ e5 a6 [; l* Z
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert: f' n3 f: S/ B7 t* b
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
1 w' L4 E/ J+ U  ^§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance

§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers

2 ~! w* a( [( q! z, B在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
