Position: IT Small Systems Specialist

Position Summary:
6 k) Y6 L6 Y$ T9 ]0 n& [The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ j1 y3 ?5 N+ K

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
2 w4 `5 E# I- ~§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution - p1 E3 E5 o" s% I2 k
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation: l* M& ^2 A9 H% C
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
, R: X& u& D: J$ M4 r2 Y8 g$ h§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk5 ]* U. v& {1 m) |* U' R( L
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert' T3 c& P( A+ d9 Y- G
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience

§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
: O4 D- Y7 F  E) }& }& X" \§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
0 `' }( {8 _  l+ D1 B6 l§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software3 y/ u1 q- Z; X) n4 n
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

Position Summary:
( l1 ~4 t# r# k* q! p/ a' wThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:
/ s- j' s* W; r; Z3 q( ~1 \§ Manage a stable local IT environment
5 g* E/ [, F( Q  X! c6 h§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
9 L  ^0 e; l/ A§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support: P4 o$ b; j4 M/ [% u
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
; h- O3 P& G2 o% L§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports) i8 F! |- Z' t, o- {7 |
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation7 J; J. {9 `3 l( e+ ?6 _! ]2 V
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to% K  P+ L7 ^  I" f& y
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times: Y% V( v2 L3 z# K
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
1 ~5 `( `' N1 ?6 i9 W7 e' Z- }4 A§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
( I- Z' g6 m4 P) [1 b2 _; g§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan8 o- J/ h5 l8 ^/ H2 M6 U0 F' G
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk5 c( I1 k* t; A
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
+ J9 p$ I7 M  l: l3 W1 {4 y§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT9 i, r' F' ], M
§ Coordinate and support end user training1 k% i' S1 N7 A& W4 t
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
; X! o* n4 y) y; W§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
' r) ~- h: s/ B& I§ Manage all printers in the building

§ Able to manage a local IT environment while working within a Corporate IT structure at a national level

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
