The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.5 Y* V& R0 m) U& P- b" A: z2 \: w ]

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
8 B# |. d- e; K4 O§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
" u/ N3 \1 v+ M8 @ \' `2 s§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
. l" p1 M( |9 \: Y& q |& g# T§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
" z/ |3 \- E; s& |4 M§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
) A/ C: B1 g, [9 T2 h§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert* k+ w$ A; g1 w: ]7 E- S
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties, Q( L, B% Z: j( ?8 w- k
§ Special projects as required+ A0 [, d, a! ~* d) z
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience/ j+ H+ j& m- n) v4 V

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). # z7 N {! ]* _/ }8 J3 Q0 I% K

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support

§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation, g! K3 V7 Z' }
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to# } G% {0 i4 y! ` R+ g
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times3 f; `& F7 e( I
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access2 Y2 h) l* h, S+ c
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures( K+ l( O9 h b8 K% y' ~+ P8 w
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan# s) M: k0 T! y4 Z
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
