A University of Alberta residence has been evacuated by city hazmat crews.

The housing complex, near 87 Avenue and 112 Street, was cleared Tuesday around 10:25 a.m. Students huddled near the building said the were evacuated over fears about deadly hydrogen sulfide gas being used inside.

It's believed a man made a suicide attempt with the gas. Police and hazmat crews remained on the scene late Tuesday morning.

你能闻到说明浓度不高，不算危险。浓度够高的话（大于100PPM），你只需要几分钟甚至几十秒就会失去知觉。而这正是H2S的危险所在。

Edmonton SUN 报上说的是个住在HUB里学生，去年NEWTON有个学生跳楼。奉劝论坛里的学子们不要想不开啊。。。其实学校里还是有一些部门可以做心理咨询什么的，要不就叫上朋友们聊聊。。。

still could not figure out why this guy used that method to kill himself. If he works in the lab( in good reach of sulfide), there are tons of ways to do that quicker with less pain as well as not interrupting others.
