- i1 X' C4 ]. T9 iTwo cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:- d* ^6 M' u9 b& \8 I; }+ ^: j
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. ) c4 @6 x# s9 S* L* C4 U1 H
It is a cycle.8 b. K) K# I9 O' H, J' q8 [' G
9 @% Q5 P- M2 R0 E* a3 GWe isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
% r3 ~& e& s8 n1 w5 u, tSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine., f, G1 ]$ z9 k( A1 p
The problem should be inside the bucket.

When the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
- D, Z* N$ {' p8 iUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
- p+ m( ~$ s2 e) T/ Y5 Q- qConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.- @. l+ b$ ^9 Z* [4 n

The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look. t0 X. v' p3 h$ v; L5 n( @
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.( f8 C6 T0 d+ ]2 s5 y, @* k. i
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.
